Ms Chet's Fifth Graders After a fun tour of the barn and a chance to walk a llama the kids got a chance to wet felt, using wool from our corriedale sheep. It was a great day for all.
LLAMA SHEARING SERVICES OFFERED : full body cut and show cut, electric clippers or hand shears. Toenail trimming also available. DIRECTIONS TO WELLSPRING FARM   From I-26N (towards TN) take the Burnsville exit.  Stay on 19 for 8.2 miles.  Make a left onto Scronce Creek Road (you'll see signs for the Preserve at Wolf Laurel).  After turning left onto Scronce make the first right and go over the mountain for 7.5 miles.  Make a left onto Riddle Br Rd and right at the first dirt and gravel road, Wellspring Lane.  Take the right fork and park at the first building with red roof.  Welcome to the farm.  Questions? email us at llama1@yancey.main.nc.us or call 828-682-0458 ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS ALLOWED	3rd Annual, Open Farm Day at Wellspring Farm   Come visit the farm on April 17, 2010  11:00 till 5:00  Visit with the llamas, see the lambs and learn about the process of wool to yarn.  A couple of our handspinning friends will be on hand to demonstrate hand spinning and answer questions.  We'll be doing some shearing.  We have a great covered porch by the barn so bring your lunch and stay a while.  The farm shop will be open, and there will be a selection of fleeces, rovings and handspun yarns available for sale.  Any questions please email:  llama1@yancey.main.nc.us
